Description
New Zealand's Motueka™ hop has a unique fresh citrus 'mojito' lime character, and is a versatile hop which works in juicy and hazy IPAs as well as lagers, Pilsners, and West Coast IPAs too.

Developed in New Zealand by what is now known as Plant & Food Research (Brand 85/6-23). A cross between a New Zealand breeding selection and Saaz.

Motueka™ now available as an Amplifire™ Fresh Hop Oil from Clayton Hops™ in New Zealand, a farm–fresh liquid hop flavour and aroma product designed to enhance the taste of beer. Amplifire™ Fresh Hop Oil has no bitterness, and is a highly flowable liquid at cool, warm, and room temperatures, as well as being beer and water soluable. It is designed mostly for cold side additions, but can be used hot side in the whirlpool. Amplifire™ Fresh Hop Oil can also boost yields by reducing waste and beer loss and improving brewhouse efficiency, and is exceptionally cost-effective.
Amplifire Fresh Hop Oils are hop variety specific flavour and aroma products grown and made in New Zealand, produced using a patent-pending process developed by Clayton Hops™ to extract oil from fresh hops on the same day they are harvested.
Substitution Rate: When substituting for T90 Hop Pellets, Clayton Hops™ recommends a 50:1 pellet to oil replacement ratio - ie 100ml of Amplifire Oil delivers the same punch as 5kg of T90 Pellets.
Carbon Footprint: As a weighted average across all hop varieties, Clayton Hops™ Amplifire™ Fresh Hop Oil - independently measured by BX of London - has a carbon footprint of 0.47 kg CO₂e, or, for benchmarking purposes, 0.35 kg CO₂e (composting emissions are typically not mentioned in industry benchmarks).
