Columbus is a powerful hop variety valued for its intense bitterness and unmistakably bold aroma. Columbus leans earthy and spicy with pronounced woody resinous notes and a subtle citrus edge, making it an excellent foundation for Pale Ales, IPAs and DIPAs, and other hop-driven styles. High alpha acid content gives Columbus versatility across bittering and dry hopping, delivering structure, depth, and impact in a broad range of beers. Together with Tomahawk® and Zeus, Columbus belongs to the esteemed super high alpha trio CTZ. Along with Cascade and Centennial, it’s also part of the famous Three Cs.
