BESTMALZ BEST Heidelberg
Brewing Values
°EBC (EBC)
Origin: GER
Supplier:
Bestmalz
Description
BEST Heidelberg is made using a special, two-row barley variety that tends to create less colour during the malting process. BEST Heidelberg is especially suited to producing light pale beers. The malt has a slightly lower protein content than a classic Pilsen Malt from the corresponding harvest year, but it has a high extract value and very high enzyme activity.
Use: Base malt for Pale Ales, Pale Premium Pilsner and Pilsner beers, ‘light’ beers, as emzyme-rich and light-coloured basis for all beer styles.
Rate: Up to 100 % of the grain bill.
