Bred by HPA with parentage of the Spalt noble hop and a high alpha Australian variety, Ella™ is an exciting Australian flavour hop nicely suited to Pilsners, Pale Ales and IPAs as well as Saisons and Porters. In low doses, Ella™ brings soft floral aromas and fragrant spices befitting its noble hop heritage, and when used in larger doses intense tropical and grapefruit flavours come into play, which is a good foil for beers which have heavier malt bills and robust yeast characters.
