Description
Developed by Yakima Chief Hops, Cryo Pop® Original Blend is a hop blend designed to deliver an exceptional “pop” of aroma and flavour in beer. Using advanced hop analysis techniques YCH identified beer-soluble hop components that endure the brewing process this allows careful selection of hop varieties rich in these compounds, helping brewers bridge the gap between raw hop aroma and the character of the finished beer. Combined with YCH’s Cryo Hops® production technology, the result is a highly concentrated pellet blend packed with impactful aromatic elements. Previously known as trial blend TRI2304CR, Cryo Pop® Original Blend delivers intense tropical, stone fruit, and citrus notes into finished beers.
Single-Hop Beers - Cryo Pop® pellets are engineered with targeted component ratios, making them suitable for 100% of the hop bill as an all-in-one solution. Brewers can achieve juicy peach, pineapple, grapefruit, and daiquiri-like aromas from a single blend, creating bold and expressive “single hop” beers without the need for multiple varieties.
Blend Amplifier - Cryo Pop® can also be used to enhance the character of existing hop combinations. When incorporated as 20–40% of the hop bill, it boosts levels of geraniol, linalool, esters, and polyfunctional thiols, intensifying and elevating the flavours and aromas of other hop varieties.
