BarthHaas® Tetrahop Gold® Bittering Hop Product
Supplier:
BarthHaas®
Description
BarthHaas® Tetrahop Gold® is an aqueous alkaline solution containing potassium salts of tetrahydro-iso-α-acids. It is produced from CO₂ hop extract using a patented, fully aqueous process. When used post-fermentation to replace part of the traditional bittering, Tetrahop Gold® enhances beer foam quality and stability.
In the absence of standard α-acids and iso-α-acids, it offers complete protection against light-struck flavour. It also functions as an antimicrobial agent when added to beer. Classified as a modified hop extract, Tetrahop® Gold is typically applied after fermentation and prior to final filtration.
Tetrahop Gold® improves head retention, helping deliver a consistently high-quality drinking experience. Post-fermentation bittering with Tetrahop Gold® also allows for greater flexibility in packaging, including the use of clear glass, without the risk of developing off-flavours. Made entirely from hops with no synthetic additives, it provides a natural, reliable bitterness every time.
