Description
BEST Melanoidin Light has high content of both dextrins and Maillard compounds, (the so-called melanoidins) which bring strong aromas and intense colours. In addition creating beers with a deep russet colour, Melanoidins impart a special flavour and a dry, full-bodied character in beer. Melanoidin rich malt can also have a positive effect on the shelf life of the beer. As Melanoidin malt is rich in enzymes, it can also be used in significant proportions in the grain bill.
Use: Dark and russet coloured beers, Alt, Märzen, Bock, wheat beers as well as other speciality beers.
Rate: Up to 70% of the grain bill.
