Description
Spalter Select was developed at the Huell breeding program and reflects classic Spalt hop characteristics, including a refined aroma profile and elevated farnesene levels. Unusual spicy-herbal notes, as well as tart citrus. Replaced Spalt & Tettnang in large scale commercial brewing. The variety is known for its vigorous growth and the formation of a large, dense cone structure. It also shows strong resistance to common hop diseases such as wilt and downy mildew.
